高市圖國際繪本中心自2019年開辦「繪本創作獎助」，又稱為「好繪芽獎」，每兩年舉辦一屆，全台獨創以每案最高20萬元的創作扶植金、資深作家協力、業界媒合、10萬元補助購書、文化推廣活動等內容，公開徵求繪本創作提案。辦理宗旨是為鼓勵具發展性、有潛力的臺灣繪本創作者而設立，因此不限創作主題，以多元開放的角度挖掘原創繪本的新樣貌，也期盼透過實質獎助帶動繪本產業的興盛。

目前好繪芽獎已有19本繪本創作計畫出版中文版，其中更有8本被譯為韓文與法文等外語版本。

擇優錄取至多3案，每案最高獎助新臺幣30萬元，獎助創作扶植金，保證出版並補助購買。

Affectionately known as the Sprouting Awards, the biennial Picture Book Sprouting Awards was launched in 2019 and invites original picture book proposals to apply. The first of its kind in Taiwan, the award offers each winning entry up to NT$200,000 in creative grants. Awardees also receive mentorship from experienced picture book creators, industry matchmaking opportunities, NT$100,000 to offset book purchasing costs, as well as assistance with promotional and cultural outreach activities.

Aimed at supporting emerging Taiwanese picture book creators with promising potential, the award welcomes picture book proposals of all themes and styles in the hopes of uncovering novel works with fresh perspectives while fostering the long-term growth of Taiwan’s picture book industry through meaningful creative support.

To date, the Sprouting Awards program has supported the Mandarin publication of 19 picture book projects, of which 8 have been further translated into Korean, French, and Brazilian Portuguese, among others.

Up to three outstanding projects are awarded each time, with each entry receiving up to NT$300,000 in creative grants as well as guaranteed publication and book purchasing subsidies.
